Don-8r Cute Small Fund Raising Robot Connects with People in Fun Manner

DON-8r is unlike other robots. Pronounced as 'donator', it is a miniature robot being capable of traveling in public places to collect coins from fellow passers-by. The main source of power for the robot to keep moving is the donation that each passers-by offer. DON-8r goes directly towards a chosen charity trust. Taking its inspiration from the increasingly pessimistic attitude that several people have towards on-the-street charitable trust workers, DON-8r helps raise funds via cheering playful and compassionate support from unfamiliar people and passers-by. In recent times, DON-8r has been impressing shoppers in Dundee, Scotland for raising money as well as creating awareness for Dundee Science Centre. This brilliant robot, designed to be re-branded in order to suit various charities, offers an exclusive platform for charities to connect with people of the community in a fun and unforgettable manner.

Munivo Gives walkin direction for visually impaired people throught their hand

Oftentimes we would have seen a blind people crossing the street with just a stick in his hand. Although it lets them identify any obstacle in their way, they need to calculate their own steps and give directions to the stick. To put an end to such qualms, Muvino, a small yet effectual device has been designed to meet the needs of the visually impaired. This smooth device fits into the shape of the palm of the hand and is embedded with a sensitive silicon skin to communicate with the user.

Keeping factors such as aesthetics, comfort, efficacy and ergonomics in mind, this supportive and handy tool for the blind has been created. Acting as another functioning eye for the visually impaired, Muvino measures the distance between possible obstacles and the subject and sends the information in the form of spheres to the user through roller-type electromagnetic actuators. The visually impaired can now be able to sense potential obstacles on their way using Munivo.

Text from Nuvist:

Art has a great role in showing what happens in human beings' life. Soul, intelligence and the emotions are the reflections of the community, and Art forms the social identities of communities. It also shows us the difference between the various social identities. Global influences effect the types of knowledge acquisitions or the social values in the art, and the artists determine the standards of modern life.

Thus, art centers have many roles beside their fundamental functions that should be participant, shared with society and create a modern level in connection between the citizens and the artists' works. This concept is the key criteria for the Izmir Opera House Project. The project should be reflecting the history, the culture and the modern life in Izmir, furthermore it should be an identity for the city of Izmir.

In this context, we have started to design an urban art dome that we call Artistic Foyer. The urban power effects the functional system, and the functional system defines the artistic foyer. As a result, all these things together create a parametric topography which forming the dome.
