Amelia Earhart: One of the most famous recorded disappearances is that of the legendary American aviation pioneer and author, Amelia Earhart. Ms. Earhart was the driving force behind the establishment of the renowned female pilots' organization, The Ninety-Nines. In the year 1937, on a solo around the world flight, Ms. Earhart disappeared somewhere over the Central Pacific ocean. Till this day, the disappearance of Amelia Earhart is one of the most baffling mysteries in the world.

Sigizmund Levanevsky: Hailed as a hero of Soviet Union, Sigizmund Levanevsky was by profession a Soviet Union pilot and had been working for the Northern Maritime Route's Administration. In the year 1937, while conducting an over flight from Moscow to New York in a Bolkhovitinov DB-A long range bomber, all communications with the crew was suddenly lost. Mr. Levanevsky were presumed missing and later declared dead, but the wreckage of the aircraft was never successfully located nor recovered.

Heinrich Müller: Also known as 'Gestapo Müller', Heinrich Muller was known to be one of the most ruthless of the Gestapo under the Nazi regime in Germany. He is also said to be one of the masterminds of the notorious, Holocaust, against the Jews. On May 1st, 1945, the day Hitler committed suicide, Muller was seen at the Führerbunker and had stated his intentions of not being captured by the Russian forces. Since there has been no sighting of Muller and even the CIA, has been unsuccessful in locating him.

Subhas Chandra Bose: One of the foremost force in the independence struggle of India against the British occupation, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had always believed in action than words and was a strong advocate of complete freedom, instead of phasing the British administration out. Subhas Chandra Bose is said to have died in a plane crash while on his way to Tokyo in the year 1945. However, his body was never recovered and there have been numerous sightings of him after his alleged death.

Juanita Nielsen: During the 1970s, Juanita Nielsen for well renowned as a publisher in Australia and was also known to be as an anti-development and anti-corruption activist. Ms. Nielsen disappeared on July 4th, 1975 and its has long been believed to be the victim of her beliefs and that, she was kidnapped and murdered by Frank Theeman and his associates.

However, during World War II, in the year 1944, while on a moral boosting mission to Paris from U.K, Miller's plane was assumed lost somewhere over English Channel. Till date, Glenn Miller has been listed as 'Missing In Action' as the plane, crew nor Mr. Miller's remains were ever successfully located.

First Lieutenant Felix Eugene Moncla, Jr: Serving in the U.S Air Force in the year 1953, First Lieutenant Felix Eugene Moncla, Jr's disappearance is one of the most baffling cases in the history of the U.S armed forces. During a pursuit what was tagged as an 'unidentified flying object' over Lake Superior, Moncla simply vanished without a trace never to be seen again. Even though the U.S Air Force has repeatedly stated that, Moncla was in fact pursuing a misidentified Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft, yet Canadian authorities have refuted this statement, thereby making his disappearance a more bizarre case indeed.
