Vyacheslav Voronich is a motorcycle enthusiast from Ukraine who has recently developed a hobby of carving wood nearly a year ago. His wooden motorcycle is a fine example of how intricately he has carved the various details of the bike in wood which give it an elegant appearance. The scale of the bike to a real one is 1:12 and he has also produced miniature wooden models of cars and choppers as well. Voronovich has made use of various kinds of wood such as ash, pine, beech, mahogany as well as oak) for creating his models. The intricate details consume a lot of time such as the brake discs, gear shifters, handlebars, as they are fragile and break easily.

A wooden motorcycle looks like we are receding back in history as it is based on the initial form and designs that were developed during the creation of this mode of transportation. Its electric motor adds to the environmental quotient as it is an emission-free vehicle that can greatly reduce the pollution woes of the big cities. The design of the Biona is such that it is compact, high-tech and lightweight. Wood and lightweight steel are used to create the frame and seat. However, this bike is a concept and it would indeed prove to be an inspiration for other vehicle manufacturers to follow the green path once it is launched.

We have seen motorbikes made by using all kinds of metals, however a wooden variety is so uncommon. Made out of wood, a green resource, this motorbike is a live-sized replica of the popular Harley-Davidson WLA model which was manufactured in the US during the second World War. Made out of teakwood, this bike is extremely durable. However, it may not be rideable, but you can most certainly incorporate it as a part of your home decor. It took 200 hours to create this wooden beauty!

This wooden motorbike was built by a person in Ireland as a challenge to win a bet, but after putting in 700 hours of hard work, this amazing wooden bike was built. The bike is essentially made out of timber from the tank cover to the frame. To top it off, the biker's helmet is also made out of wood! The only thing that is made of alloy is the rim and the tubeless tires. The person won the bet and if he had incorporated an engine, then he would have also won the best bike award at the bike rally that he had taken it to!

  1. Never seen wooden bikes. One my colleague still trying to make wooden bike, but a question is still remaining that how to adjust seat and exhaust in bike!!
