LEGO is popular among kids and adults. The small brinks can go wherever your imagination takes you. LEGO is more a piece of art than a child's toy. This creation of Denmark, is famous worldwide and coupled with some creativity, can literally create wonders. Here is a list of the 10 tallest LEGO creations:
1. Brazil LEGO tower
This amazing LEGO sculpture has been built by over 6,000 Brazilian children as a tribute to these amazing building blocks. This is one of the world's tallest LEGO structure and took those children about 4 days to build. The tower stands at 102 feet tall and 3 feel wide and is composed of over 500,000 LEGO blocks that are held together by wire supports.
2. 16-Foot Tall LEGO Pharaoh
The 16 foot replica of an Egyptian King is completely created by Lego blocks and weights over 1 ton. This structure has used 200,000 building blocks and is an attraction at Windsor Legoland. The structure traveled 1,395 miles before it reached its final destination.
3. LEGO Empire State Building
This 4 foot tall building uses over 13,000 LEGO blocks and is displayed as the centerpiece for The Empire State Building's gift shop. They even added King Kong on the top of the building and have placed several cars on the roads around to make the view from the top seem real.
4. 9360 LEGO BlackBerry
This amazing creation by Nathan Sawaya not only stands tall at 5 feet, but it also holds a flat screen TV within it's structure. The structure is made to look like the BlackBerry Tour 9360 smartphone and it made entirely out of plastic Lego bricks. This creation truly is smart and creative.
5. LEGO Jesus statue
This 6 foot tall Jesus Statue was made by 40 volunteers of the Onsta Gryta Church in Sweden. The statue that took 18 months to build and uses over 30,000 blocks of lego, was crafted as a celebration of Easter. The statue is extremely detailed as shows Jesus with his arms outstretched.
6. Conan O'Brien LEGO Statue
Once again, Lego artist, Nathan Sawaya has created a unique LEGO sculpture. This time the structure is of funny man Conan O'Brien. The sculpture is amazingly life like and even has realistic touches like orange hair for Conan O'Brien. The artists work with plastic LEGO bricks is truly inspirational.
7. Lego Mario
Everyone in this world is familiar with Mario and its quest to reach the finish line, squishing tiny turtles in the process. At 5′9″ tall, this Mario sculpture is created using over 40,000 LEGO bricks and weight over 110 pounds. This Mario, named Lego Mario is the largest Mario figure that ever existed.
8. LEGO Christmas tree
This Lego Christmas tree truly spreads festive joy all over Bangsar Village 2, Malaysia. Standing at 7 meters tall and 5 meters wide, this is the tallest LEGO structure in Asia and is made up of 850,000 LEGO bricks. The tree was launched by Danish ambassador to Malaysia Svend Waever.
9. LEGO Air Conditioner
The famous Nathan Sawaya has come up with yet another amazing piece of art. Created on a special request by AC company Carrier, this replica is a life size structure of one of their products. Nathan also created a life size air conditioner for Bryant Air conditioning. Talk about loyalties!
10. BioShock LEGO
Big Daddy and Little Sister from the Xbox 360 Video Game Bioshock were created using LEGO bricks. This is a unique design and was created by someone who is probably a big fan of the video game. The sculpture is amazingly life like and shows creativity at it's peak.
